About the Job
The Backend Engineering team designs and operates the high-performance systems that power the company’s Checkout product and broader payments stack. Backend Engineers architect APIs, services, and distributed systems that handle payments, settlement, asset conversion, identity/security verification, and multi-chain transaction routing. This is a foundational role building fault-tolerant, low-latency infrastructure that scales globally while meeting security and compliance expectations.This is an on-site role in Singapore, four days per week (Mon–Thu), with flexible Fridays (WFH optional). The company will support relocation for the right candidates, including Employment Pass (EP) sponsorship.

Their flagship product is a high-conversion payment solution that allows users to complete any onchain action using assets from self-custodial wallets, centralized exchanges, or fiat on-ramped from cards and bank accounts. By aggregating routing and exposing users’ full asset portfolios at the point of sale, the product helps decentralized applications drive faster, stickier, and more engaged users without stitching together multiple providers or spinning up new chains.The company has processed over USD 1.3 billion in payments in the past 30 days alone, annualizing to over USD 12 billion – growing from effectively zero just a year and a half ago. Notable clients include leading prediction markets, DeFi protocols, and consumer-facing crypto platforms. They have recently closed a funding round, have multiple years of runway, and are actively scaling.The company currently has ~30 team members globally and is expanding its Singapore office from 2 to 10 engineers by end of year. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the foundational Singapore team and help shape the company’s Asia-Pacific engineering presence.
